Our freestyle cooking event #4 , we had two new guest. First , she is a girl I knew from meetup , Ayami. She told me that she love to cook. But she have not tried to make Thai dish before. Second was Thai girl , Picha , who applied by meetup.com. Her profile told us that she loves to eat. But she have never cooked anything before. So it would be great to have two people who are interested in cooking in our group. As we formed our Freestyle cooking group for anyone who are interesting in cooking , not just for an expert. Let’s check it out how did they do!
Here they are, Picha and Ayami. Picha has zero experience of cooking. But she has got confidence. With Ayami , they are a perfect buddy as they strengthen each other. Ayami was a Japanese girl who has got some experience of cooking. But she had not done any Thai dish before.
After I made Tom Kha Kai. Picha and Ayami saw the cooking processes. I was sure that they could see that cooking was not hard. So I let them tried to make a stir fried baby corn with pork mince mostly by themselves. And guess what? They had done it very well , nice and delicious!
Our first time to had guesses who had quite a few experience of cooking turned out very well. And it proved my theory that you don’t have to have some experience of cooking to make a nice dish. But all you need to have are the love and join of cooking!
A week later , Ayami send me a photo of her first Tom Kha Kai that she cooked at home. It looked great! Sukoi , Ayami…..I am proud of you! ^__^
